In this article we will formulate a LA Rams vs Dallas Cowboys prediction for this NFL Preseason game on Sunday, August 11th at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this preseason battle.
LA Rams Betting Preview
The Los Angeles Rams were 10-7 last season and they finished second in the NFC West. Los Angeles started the season with a record of 3-6 in their first nine games, but they finished the season by going 7-1, which pushed them into the playoffs. The Rams had to travel to Detroit in the first round, where they lost by a score of 24-23. Matthew Stafford had plenty of success down the stretch last season, as the Rams scored at least 28 points in five of their last seven regular season games. LA scored 23.8 points per game (8th) last year, while the defense allowed 22.2 points against per game (19th).
Los Angeles went 0-3 during the 2023 preseason, which started with a 34-17 loss against the Chargers in their first game. The Rams lost their second game by a score of 34-17 against the Raiders, while dropping the last game by a score of 41-0 against Denver. Matthew Stafford will almost certainly not play in this game and with Jimmy G suspended for the first few games of the regular season, we should see plenty of Stetson Bennett and Dresser Winn.
Dallas Cowboys Betting Preview
The Dallas Cowboys went 12-5 last year and finished first in the NFC East. Dallas had a fantastic regular season in 2023, losing games to only Buffalo, Miami, San Francisco, and Arizona. The Cowboys won seven of their last nine regular season games, but they were dominated in the Wild Card round at home against Green Bay by a score of 48-32. Dak Prescott started all 17 regular season games and they are dependent on his strong play to have another successful regular season. Dallas scored 29.9 points per game (1st) last year, while the defense gave up 18.5 points against per game (5th).
Dallas went 1-2 in the preseason last year, which started with a 28-23 loss against Jacksonville in the first game. The Cowboys also lost their second game against Seattle by a score of 22-14, but did beat the Raiders by a score of 31-16 in the finale. Dak Prescott should be watching this game from the sidelines, which leaves Cooper Rush and Trey Lance as the main quarterback options.

LA Rams vs Dallas Cowboys Prediction
Dallas comes into this season after a mostly successful 2023 season, but they played very poorly in the playoffs and were sent home after just one game. The Cowboys do have Cooper Rush and Trey Lance under center for this game, which is a positive sign for this preseason contest. Los Angeles was also sent home in the first round of the playoffs last year, but Stafford and Company had a very solid season. The Rams don’t have great options at quarterback for this game in my opinion, but I do think Bennett will be able to create some plays with his feet. I think both teams will be able to scrape together a few scoring drives, so my LA Rams vs Dallas Cowboys prediction is for this game to go over the total.
