The Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks clash Tuesday night in week 15 NFL action from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. Seattle is 5-8 so far this year and coming off a win over the Texans. Seattle won just two of their first seven games, taking out the Colts and 49ers in that stretch. The Seahawks have gone 3-3 since then, losing to the Packers, Cardinals and Washington with wins over the Jaguars, 49ers and Texans as well.
On Sunday in the Texans game, Seattle held a slim 16-13 edge at halftime. The Seahawks scored 17 unanswered points in the second half for a nice 33-13 blowout win. QB Russell Wilson posted 260 yards with two touchdowns, and Rashaad Penny rushed for 137 and two TDs.
Over on the Rams’ side, they got off to a nice start this year with wins in seven of their first eight games. Los Angeles lost three straight to the Titans, 49ers and Packers before getting another win over the Jaguars.
On Monday versus the Cardinals, Los Angeles had a 13-13 tie at the break. The Rams posted 14 points in the third quarter on the way to a 30-23 win. QB Matthew Stafford finished on 287 yards with three touchdowns, and Cooper Kupp had 13 catches for 123 yards and a score.
The Seahawks are 4-1 ATS in their last five in December and 4-1 ATS in their last five on turf. Seattle is 4-9 ATS in their last 13 road games and 4-10 ATS in the last four versus the NFC.
Meanwhile, the Rams are 25-12-1 ATS in their last 38 versus the NFC and 1-4 ATS in their last five in Week 15. The under is 11-3 in the Rams’ last 14 at home.
PICK: I’m going to take a stab on the Seahawks. Seattle has looked pretty good (finally) over their last couple of games. In the Houston matchup, the Seahawks put up 453 total yards with 7.9 yards per play, zero turnovers and 20 first downs. Seattle has hit 30 or more points in each of their last two outings.
As for Los Angeles, they pulled off a nice win on Monday despite getting out-gained on total yardage 447-356. The Rams were efficient overall and the defense stood up when it needed to. I do like LA to get the win here, but I think Seattle can keep pace well enough to bag a cover.
