The New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Rams clash Sunday in week 11 NFL action from Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Los Angeles is sitting at 3-6 this year following a loss to the Cardinals in their last game. As for the Saints, they’re 3-7 overall so far. New Orleans fell to the Steelers back on Sunday. Los Angeles started out the season at 2-1 with wins over the Falcons and Cardinals. The Rams have suffered a 1-5 run since then however, falling to the 49ers, Cowboys, 49ers again, Buccaneers and Cardinals (with a win over the Panthers).

In last Sunday’s matchup versus Arizona, the Rams faced a 17-3 halftime deficit. LA got within a touchdown but ultimately lost 27-17. QB John Wolford posted 212 yards with one TD and one pick. Tyler Higbee led the receivers with 73 yards off eight grabs.

Over on the New Orleans side, they hit a 2-3 run over their first five games this year, taking losses to the Bucs, Panthers and Vikings. The Saints have gone 1-4 in the five games since, losing to Cincinnati, Arizona, Baltimore and Pittsburgh.

Matched up against the Steelers on Sunday, the Saints held a 10-10 tie at halftime. New Orleans couldn’t score in the second half however, and lost 20-10. QB Andy Dalton managed 174 yards with one score and two picks. Juwan Johnson caught five balls for 44 yards and a TD.

The Rams are 5-12-2 ATS in their last 19 in Week 11 and 2-8-1 ATS in their last 11 overall. LA is 1-4-1 ATS in their last six versus the NFC.

Meanwhile, the Saints are 1-4 ATS in their last five overall and 1-4 ATS versus a team with a losing record. New Orleans is 0-4 ATS in their last four in November.

PICK: I’m going to take a stab on the Rams. I could probably go either way in this one, however; it should be a pretty good matchup. That said, LA really needs a shot in the arm on offense after the Arizona game. The Rams put up just 256 total yards (66 rushing) in that one, with only 18 first downs, two turnovers and 3-of-11 on third-down tries.

New Orleans is also in a slump themselves. The Saints are coming off an ugly 186 yards (29 rushing) in the Steelers game with 10 first downs, 10 penalties and 3-of-12 on third downs. This one’s going to come down to which team plays “less badly.” I think it’ll be Los Angeles.
