In this article, we will formulate a NY Giants vs. Cincinnati Bengals Prediction for this NFL Week 6 game on Sunday, October 13th, at MetLife Stadium.

Bengals Just Keep Losing

The Bengals sit with a 1-4 record overall and they are coming off another loss in the last game against the Ravens. The Bengals were able to make it to overtime, but they ended up losing. In the 4th quarter though, they gave up 17 points, and that led to them getting to overtime in the first place. Joe Burrow did have a strong game completing 30 of his 39 passes for 392 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception. Ja’Marr Chase had a strong game also catching 10 passes for 193 yards and two touchdowns.

The Bengals on the season are averaging 28 points, while their defense is giving up 29 points per game. The offense is ranked 4th in the league, while the defense is ranked 31st. One issue for this team is they are averaging only 3.4 points per game in the first quarter. Running back Zack Moss left the last game with an ankle injury and it’s unclear if he’s going to be able to go in this game.

Why the Bengals Will Beat the Giants

  • The Bengals have won 10 of their last 11 games against NFC opponents.
  • The Giants have lost each of their last two Sunday games against teams that held a losing record.
  • The Bengals have covered the spread in seven of their last eight Sunday games against teams that held a losing record.
  • The Bengals have won the first half in each of their last four October games against NFC opponents.
  • The Bengals have won the first quarter in four of their last five games against the Giants following a loss.

Giants Coming Off Key Win

The Giants are coming off a key win in the last game against the Seattle Seahawks, one that not many saw coming. The Giants scored 29 points against the Seahawks and that was enough for the nine-point victory. Quarterback Daniel Jones completed 23 of his 34 passes for 257 yards and two touchdowns. Devin Singletary was out, but Tyrone Tracy Jr stepped up, and he finished with 18 carries for 129 yards. Wide receiver Darius Slayton also had a huge game, catching eight passes for 122 yards and one touchdown.

The Giants are averaging 17.8 points, while their defense is giving up 20.8 points per game. The offense is ranked 27th in the league, while the defense is ranked 11th. Jones sure looked good in the last game and he has confidence. If the Giants want to find success in this game, they are going to need Jones to be good here.

NY Giants vs Cincinnati Bengals Prediction

The Bengals have had their issues, but they are going to get their season back on the right track with a win in this game. The Bengals scored 38 points in the last game, and they are going to have no issue running up the score here. I still don’t trust Daniel Jones, and he’s going to struggle here. The Giants’ offense isn’t going to run up the score, and the Bengals are going to cruise to the victory here. Back the Bengals against the spread.
