In this article we will formulate a Packers vs Commanders prediction for this NFL game on Thursday, September 11th at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this week 2 matchup.

Green Bay Packers Betting Preview

The Green Bay Packers are 1-0 this year after defeated Detroit by a score of 27-13 in week one. Green Bay led 10-0 after the first quarter and 17-3 at halftime. The Packers had their lead cut to 17-6 in the third, but scored the first 10 points of the second half to put the game away. Green Bay out gained Detroit by a total of 266-246, went 4-10 on third downs, and won the turnover battle by a total of 1-0 in the game. Jordan Love went 16-22 for 188 yards and two touchdowns, while Romeo Doubs caught two passes for 68 yards in the game. Josh Jacobs led the Green Bay rushing attack with 19 carries for 66 yards and one score in the win. The GB defense was led by Edgerrin Cooper, who had 12 tackles, while the team had four sacks and nine tackles for loss.

The Packers made a statement with their dominating win over the Lions to open the season, but their offense wasn’t great, as they failed to reach 300 yards in the game. Green Bay added Parsons to their defense just a couple of weeks ago, which is really going to help the pass rush. This Packers team is going to be very difficult to play against, but Jordan Love needs to stay healthy and limit his turnovers for them to make a real push.

Washington Commanders Betting Preview

The Washington Commanders are 1-0 this season after they defeated the Giants by a score of 21-6 last week. Washington led 7-0 after the first quarter and expanded that lead to 14-3 at the half. The Commanders were outscored 3-0 in the third quarter, but put the game away with a touchdown in the fourth. Washington out gained New York by a total of 432-231, went 4-11 on third downs, and tied the turnover battle at zero in the game. Jayden Daniels went 19-30 for 233 yards and one touchdown, while Deebo Samuel caught seven passes for 77 yards. Jacory Croskey-Merritt led the Washington ground game with 19 carries for 82 yards and one touchdown in the victory. The Washington defense was led by Bobby Wagner, who had 10 tackles, while the team had two sacks and seven tackles for loss.

Washington picked up a relatively easy win to start the season against the Giants and they were able to lean on their running game, as they racked up 220 yards on the ground. The Commanders played a pretty flawless game, but they did have 12 penalties for 89 yards, which will cost them against a better team.

Packers vs Commanders Prediction

Green Bay looked very good in their opening win against the Lions and the defense was nasty, but they will face a better offensive line and a mobile quarterback here. Washington was never in trouble against the Giants, but they also didn’t blow them out and will be on the road for this contest. These are two of the better teams in the NFC in my opinion, so we should be in for a great game, but I am siding with the Commanders on the road. Green Bay wasn’t great on offense against Detroit and I think Washington’s style of offense will put a ton of pressure on the GB defense. Take the Commanders and the points.
