The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys meet Saturday night in week 18 NFC East NFL action from Lincoln Financial Field. Dallas is sitting at 11-5 so far. The Cowboys lost to the Cardinals in their last game. As for the Eagles, they’re currently 9-7 and fresh off a win over Washington. Check back all season long for free NFL picks at Sports Chat Place.
Dallas posted a pretty decent 7-4 record over their first 11 games of the season. The Cowboys hit a win streak over the Saints, Washington, the Giants and Washington again before their latest loss to the Cardinals.
Last weekend versus Arizona, the Cowboys were down 22-7 going into the fourth quarter. Dallas fought back with 15 points from there but couldn’t complete the comeback in a 25-22 defeat. QB Dak Prescott finished on 226 yards and three scores.
Over on the Philly side, they went just 3-6 over their first nine games but things have gotten better since then. The Eagles are 6-1 in their last seven with victories versus the Broncos, Saints, Jets, Washington, the Giants and Washington again.
In the matchup versus the Team last weekend, Philly was down 16-7 at halftime. The Eagles scored 13 unanswered points from there in a 20-16 comeback win. Jalen Hurts threw for 214 yards in the victory, while Boston Scott put up 47 yards and two scores rushing.
Dallas is 4-0 ATS in the last four as a road favorite and 7-1 ATS in their last eight road games. The Cowboys are 19-7 ATS in their last 26 versus the NFC East.
Meanwhile, the Eagles are 4-0 ATS in their last four after an ATS loss and 7-2 ATS in their last nine in January. Philly is 3-1-1 ATS in their last five at home.
PICK: I’m going to take a stab on Philly. The last time these teams met up was way back on September 27. Dallas won that one 41-21 thanks to 380 total yards, 27 first downs and a 34:58 time of possession advantage. This one may not go as smoothly for Dallas, though. The Cowboys have been at 27 points or below in four of their last five games, so if the Eagles can get their offense going I can see this game being very close most of the way. Even if the Cowboys win, I think Philly can get close enough to cover. Should be a good way to finish off the regular season.
