Philadelphia Eagles vs Washington Commanders Player Prop Picks 11-14-24
The Philadelphia Eagles will face the Washington Commanders on Thursday, at Lincoln Financial Field. Going into this matchup, the Eagles are currently favored with a -3.5 point spread and we see a total of 48.5. This spread reflects Philadelphia’s strong season performance and the current expectation that their offensive and defensive balance will make them tough to beat at home.
Jalen Hurts leads the Eagles’ offense, bringing not only his passing skills but also his dynamic rushing threat, which will challenge Washington’s defense. The Eagles defense has been solid, applying pressure with their defensive line and consistently defending the pass, though they’ll need to be wary of Washington’s key playmakers like wide receiver Terry McLaurin and running back Brian Robinson. Commanders QB Jayden Daniels has been incredible this season and has been by far the best rookie quarterback. Daniels and the Commanders are coming off a tough loss against the Steelers last week. It should be interesting to see if they’re able to lick their wombs and get back to the winning side of things in Philadelphia.
Saquon Barkley Over 93.5 Rush Yards
Saquon Barkley has been a monster for this Eagles team. Over nine games, Barkley has accumulated 991 rushing yards on 171 attempts, averaging 5.8 yards per carry and 110.1 yards per game. He has also scored six rushing touchdowns, highlighting his effectiveness in the red zone and ability to break through defenses. His highest rushing game so far was against his former team, the New York Giants, where he rushed for 176 yards and scored a touchdown. Additionally, he had standout games with 147 yards and two touchdowns against the Saints, and 159 yards with a touchdown versus the Jaguars.
I expect this to be another big game for Saquon on Thursday. I’ve been impressed with the Washington Commanders this season but they’ve been susceptible to giving up big plays on the ground. They’re allowing the 3rd most rushing yards per game to opposing teams this season. In a divisional game on primetime TV, I expect Saquon to explode for another 100-yard rushing game.
Terry McLaurin Over 4.5 Receptions
Terry McLaurin has been a great weapon for Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders. Over 10 games, he has accumulated 711 receiving yards from 47 receptions, averaging about 15.1 yards per catch. This places him at an average of 71.1 receiving yards per game, with six touchdowns so far this season. McLaurin’s standout performances include a 125-yard game against the Bears and a 112-yard game versus the Browns. His play has been instrumental in the Commanders’ offense, showcasing his deep threat and consistent hands.
I’m looking to target Terry’s receptions over yards in this game. We’ve seen him get 5 or more receptions in 5 of his last 7 games. This Eagles pass rush has been good this season which will force Jayden Daniels to have to get rid of the ball early. Terry McLaurin has been Daniel’s safety net all season and I see nothing changing in Philadelphia on Thursday.
Jayden Daniels Over 0.5 Interceptions
Jayden Daniels has thrown a total of 2 interceptions in the 2024-25 season while leading the Washington Commanders. He has maintained a strong completion rate of 71.5%, amassing 1,945 passing yards across nine games. This reflects careful decision-making, as his interception rate remains low in relation to his high completion percentage and yardage, contributing to an impressive passer rating of 106.7.
Daniels has been great at taking care of the ball this season. We’ve seen him go 5 weeks in a row without throwing an interception. With that being said I think we see one on Thursday. The fact that the over is at -120 should tell you something. I expect the Eagles to bring the pressure which will force a mistake from Jayden Daniels at some point in this game.
