The Las Vegas Raiders went 4-13 last season and they finished last in the AFC West standings, 11 games behind the first place Chiefs. Las Vegas started the season with a 2-2 record, but they lost the next 10 games and the season fell apart. The Raiders picked up wins against the Ravens, Browns, Jaguars, and Saints, while they lost to the Chargers (2), Panthers, Broncos (2), Steelers, Rams, Chiefs (2), Bengals, Dolphins, Buccaneers, and Falcons. The Raiders scored 18.2 points per game in 2024, which was ranked 29th in the NFL, while they allowed 25.5 points against per game, which was 25th.
Las Vegas went 0-2-1 in the 2024 preseason, which was third in the AFC West standings. The Raiders lost to Minnesota by a score of 24-23 and Dallas by a score of 27-12 in the first two games, but they did tie San Francisco by a score of 24-24 in the finale. The Raiders may play Geno Smith for a series or two, but it will be Aidan O’Connell and Cam Miller the rest of the way at quarterback. The Seattle Seahawks were 10-7 in 2024 and they finished tied for first in the NFC West standings, but lost the tiebreaker with the Rams. Seattle started the season with a 3-0 record, but they lost five of the next six games, which was enough to put them in a deficit they couldn’t climb out of. The Seahawks picked up wins against the Broncos, Patriots, Dolphins, Falcons, 49ers, Cardinals (2), Jets, Bears, and Rams, while they lost to the Lions, Giants, 49ers, Bills, Rams, Packers, and Vikings. Seattle scored 22.1 points per game last season, which was ranked 18th in the NFL, while they allowed 21.6 points against per game, which was 11th.
Seattle went 2-1 in the 2024 preseason, which was tied for first in the NFC West with the Rams. The Seahawks defeated the Chargers in their first game by a score of 16-3, but they lost to the Titans by a score of 16-15, before picking up a win against the Browns by a score of 37-33 in the finale. Raiders vs Seahawks Prediction
Las Vegas comes into this game as the favorite to get the win, as Seattle as said pretty much no starters will play in the contest. The Seahawks should get some decent quarterback play from Lock, but I have no idea what we will see from Milroe. On the other side, Aidan O’Connell has a bunch of experience that should translate to success, while Cam Miller was playing at North Dakota State last year. I do think Milroe could cause some issues for the Raiders defense with his legs, but I like O’Connell and Miller better. Take the Raiders to win going away here.
