In this article we will formulate a Seahawks vs Chiefs prediction for this NFL game on Friday, August 15th at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this week two matchup in the preseason.
Seattle Seahawks Betting Preview
The Seattle Seahawks are 0-0-1 so far in the preseason after they tied the Raiders by a score of 23-23 in their first game. Seattle led 7-0 at the end of the first quarter and they were up 16-3 at halftime, which turned into a 23-13 lead in the fourth, but they allowed the last 10 points to end in the tie. The Seahawks were fortunate to get out of the game with a tie, as they blocked a game winning field goal attempt to end the game. Seattle was out gained by a total of 368-288, went 8-15 on third down conversions, and won the turnover battle 2-1 in the game. Drew Lock went 12-22 for 147 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, while Jalen Milroe went 6-10 for 61 yards as the backup. George Holani rushed for 61 yards and one touchdown, while Troy Horton caught three passes for 31 yards and a score. The Seattle defense was led by Jackson and Ivey, who both had six tackles, while O’Toole added a sack.
Last season, Seattle went 2-1 in the preseason, with wins over Los Angeles and Cleveland by scores of 16-3 and 37-33, while losing to Tennessee by a score of 16-15 in their second game. This week, we are expected to see the starters play at least a little bit, which means we will see Darnold under center. Once he leaves, we will get Lock and Milroe, just like last week. It is a solid quarterback room for the preseason, but we still don’t know much about Milroe’s passing ability.
Kansas City Chiefs Betting Preview
The Kansas City Chiefs are 0-1 in the preseason after they lost to the Cardinals by a score of 20-17 last week. Kansas City led 7-0 after the first quarter and 14-3 in the second, but they allowed two late scores and went into halftime down 17-14. The Chiefs did tie the game in the third quarter, but failed to score in the fourth for the close loss. Kansas City was out gained by a total of 355-249, went 5-13 on third down conversions, and won the turnover battle 3-2 in the loss. Patrick Mahomes went 1-1 for one yard and one touchdown, Chris Oladukun went 6-13 for 39 yards, Gardner Minshew went 6-9 for 54 yards, and Bailey Zappe went 8-17 for 70 yards and two interceptions in the game. Oladokun led KC with 26 rushing yards, while Robert Tonyan caught three passes for 49 yards. The Kansas City defense was led by Bassa, who recorded six tackles, while Robinson picked up their lone sack.
Kansas City went 0-3 in the preseason last year with losses to Jacksonville, Detroit, and Chicago by scores of 26-13, 24-23, and 34-21. It doesn’t sound like Mahomes is going to play in this game, which means we will see Minshew, Zappe, and Oladokun under center. This is a very capable quarterback room, but Zappe needs to protect the ball.

Seahawks vs Chiefs Prediction
Kansas City looked very good in the first 25 minutes of last week’s game, but they fell apart and the offense did next to nothing in the second half. Seattle led for nearly the entire game in their first preseason contest, but they couldn’t hold the line and ended up with a tie. The Seahawks are going to have an early advantage with Darnold playing, but I think KC will have the advantage as the game goes on, as I like Zappe and Oladokun under center. Take the Chiefs here.
