The Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals meet on Sunday Night Football in week 7 NFL action at State Farm Stadium.
The Seattle Seahawks are coming off a bye and look for another victory to improve to 6-0 on the season. The Seattle Seahawks have won eight of their last nine road games. Russell Wilson is completing 72.8 percent of his passes for 1,502 yards, 19 touchdowns and three interceptions. Wilson has 10 touchdown passes in his last three games. DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett have combined for 838 receiving yards and nine touchdowns while David Moore has 10 receptions. The Seattle Seahawks ground game is averaging 115.4 yards per contest, and Chris Carson leads the way with 289 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, Seattle is allowing 27 points and 471.2 yards per game. Bobby Wagner leads the Seattle Seahawks with 52 tackles, Benson Mayowa has two sacks and Shaquill Griffin has two interceptions.
The Arizona Cardinals look for a statement win to create a three-game winning streak. The Arizona Cardinals have lost four of their last six home games. Kyler Murray is completing 65.9 percent of his passes for 1,487 yards, 10 touchdowns and six interceptions. Murray has two or more touchdown passes in three of his last four games. DeAndre Hopkins and Christian Kirk have combined for 841 receiving yards and five touchdowns while Andy Isabella has 10 receptions. The Arizona Cardinals ground game is averaging 161 yards per contest, and Kenyan Drake leads the way with 478 yards and four touchdowns. Defensively, Arizona is allowing 18.7 points and 346.2 yards per game. Jordan Hicks leads the Arizona Cardinals with 52 tackles, Haason Reddick has four sacks and Patrick Peterson has one interception.
The Seahawks are 13-4-1 ATS in their last 18 road games, 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. NFC West and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Cardinals are 3-1-2 ATS in their last 6 vs. NFC West, 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games in October and 6-2-1 ATS in their last 9 games overall. The over is 7-3-1 in Seahawks last 11 vs. NFC West. The under is 6-0 in Cardinals last 6 games overall. The Seahawks are 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 meetings in Arizona and 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 meetings.
The Seattle Seahawks obviously have a clear edge here with them coming off a bye week and the Cardinals on a short week with them playing on Monday. However, the Seahawks continue to struggle defensively and find themselves in close games time and time again, and each of their last four games have been decided by eight or less points. The Cardinals have to be thrilled to be back home after three straight road games, and they’re coming off back-to-back blowouts over the Jets and Cowboys. The Cardinals have the offensive firepower to give the Seahawks a run here, and they beat them in the last meeting as eight-point underdogs. I’m not thrilled about the Seahawks in the favorite role right now given their issues defensively.
Give me the Cardinals and the points.
