The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Buffalo Bills clash Sunday in week 14 NFL action from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
The Buffalo Bills come into this game on the heels of a 14-10 loss to New England in their last game. Josh Allen’s thrown for 3,216 yards, 26 touchdowns and 10 picks on 65.7% passing while also rushing for 422 rushing yards and 3 scores. Devin Singletary has a team-high 495 rushing yards with a pair of scores while Zack Moss has 286 rushing yards and 4 TDs. Stefon Diggs leads the Bills with 71 catches on 108 targets with 898 receiving yards and 7 TDs while Emmanuel Sanders and Cole Beasley each have 500+ receiving yards with Sanders logging 4 TDs as well this season. On defense, Tremaine Edmunds leads the Bills with 69 total tackles while Jordan Poyer has a team-high 5 interceptions.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will look to make it four straight wins after picking up a third straight with a 30-17 win over Atlanta last time out. Tom Brady’s thrown for 3,771 yards, 34 touchdowns and 10 INTs on 68.3% passing while Leonard Fournette has a team-high 665 rushing yards with 7 scores. Chris Godwin has 949 receiving yards with 5 TDs to lead the Bucs’ in receiving yardage while Mike Evans has 894 receiving yards and 10 scores. Rob Gronkowski, Antonio Brown and the aforementioned Fournette each have 400+ receiving yards as well this season. On defense, Devin White has a team-high 100 total tackles while Shaq Barrett has 7.5 sacks and Ndamukong Suh has 6 sacks. Mike Edwards also has 3 interceptions for Tampa Bay’s D this season.
Buffalo is 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a loss and 5-0-1 ATS in their last 6 games following an ATS loss while the over is 6-0 in their last 6 games as an underdog. Tampa Bay is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games as a home favorite while the under is 5-0 in their last 5 home games against a team with a winning road record.
I get the allure of points with a playoff contender like Buffalo, but I’m also attracted to a low line with a better Tampa Bay team at home where the Bucs have had the most success this season. Buffalo’s loss to New England was heavily weighted because of weather, but it was still a big loss in the division race and in the grand scheme of things, not a confidence builder heading into this one. The Bucs handled Atlanta and are closing in on the division crown and will take another step in that direction with a win and cover here.
