The Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts do battle in a week 5 NFL Thursday Night Football from Empower Field at Mile High.

The Indianapolis Colts will be looking to rebound from a 24-17 loss to the Tennessee Titans to fall to 1-2-1 on the year. Matt Ryan has thrown for 1,125 yards, 5 touchdowns and 5 interceptions on 66.2% passing while Jonathan Taylor has a team-high 328 rushing yards this season. Michael Pittman Jr. leads Indy’s receiving group with 20 grabs for 224 receiving yards while another five Colts have at least 100 receiving yards so far this season. On defense, Zaire Franklin has a team-high 45 total tackles while Kwity Paye has a team-high 3 sacks this season.

The Denver Broncos will try to bounce back after a 32-23 loss to Las Vegas for their 2nd loss, sitting at 2-2 in this one. Russell Wilson’s thrown for 980 yards, 4 touchdowns and an interception on 61.1% passing while Melvin Gordon III and Javonte Williams have combined for 343 rushing yards so far but Williams is now out for the season with a knee injury. Courtland Sutton leads Denver’s receiving group with 24 grabs for 343 receiving yards while Jerry Jeudy has 183 receiving yards this season. On defense, Josey Jewell has a team-high 23 total tackles total tackles while Bradley Chubb has 3 sacks so far this season.

Indianapolis is 11-5 ATS in their last 16 road games and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall while the under is 9-0 in their last 9 games overall. Denver is 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 week 5 matchups while the under is 6-2 in their last 8 home games.

I get the case to be made either way in this game, but I’m looking at the under right now. Primetime unders have been money for the most part so far this season and I expect this one to be no different between two inconsistent offensive units and a pair of solid defenses on a short week as well. I’ll side with the under in this one.
