The Chicago Bears and Washington Commanders meet Thursday in week 5 NFL action at FedExField. Let’s preview this game and give out a pick and prediction.

Chicago Bears Betting Preview

The Chicago Bears are still looking for their first win of the season. The Bears look to avoid their first 0-5 start since 1997 when they won just 4 games overall. DJ Moore and Cole Kmet have combined for 490 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns, while Darnell Mooney has 8 receptions. The Chicago Bears ground game is averaging 119 yards per contest, and Khalil Herbert leads the way with 196 yards on 41 carries. Defensively, Chicago is allowing 34.3 points and 383.3 yards per game. T.J. Edwards leads the Chicago Bears with 51 tackles, Yannick Ngakoue has 1 sack and Jack Sanborn has 1 interception.

The Washington Commanders look for their second home win to get above a .500 record. The Commanders have split their last 8 home games. Randy’s Pick

Laying a full touchdown on Thursday night isn’t what I’m thrilled to do, as there’s not a lot of preparation for these games. However, the Bears are a mess on both sides of the ball, especially defense where they’re 31st in scoring defense and last week’s effort doesn’t help the confidence. The Bears blew the lead against the Broncos and then missed an opportunity to win late, but coaching let them down. At 0-4, you have to question if the Bears are even trying to win at this stage or just in tank mode with potentially being able to draft Caleb Williams. I want little to do with the Bears. It’s the Commander’s or pass for me.
