The Los Angeles Chargers and Seattle Seahawks clash Sunday in week 7 NFL action from SoFi Stadium. Seattle is 3-3 so far this year and coming off a win over the Cardinals. As for Los Angeles, they played the Broncos back on Monday. In that game, the Chargers eked out an overtime victory. Check back all season long for free NFL picks at Sports Chat Place.

Seattle opened up their year with a tight 17-16 win over the Broncos, but then fell in consecutive games to the 49ers 27-7 and the Falcons 27-23. Seattle would then beat the Lions 48-45 and lose to the Saints 39-32.

In last weekend’s matchup versus the Cardinals, the Seahawks scored points in every quarter during a 19-9 victory. QB Geno Smith managed 197 yards on 20-of-31 passing, and Kenneth Walker led the rush with 21 carries, 97 yards and a score.

Over on the Chargers’ side, they started out with a 24-19 win over the Raiders, but then fell to the Chiefs 27-24 and Jaguars 38-10. Los Angeles bounced back with wins over the Texans 34-24 and the Browns 30-28 in the next pair.

Matched up against the Broncos on Monday, the Chargers gave up 10 early points and had to rally for a 19-16 win in overtime. QB Justin Herbert managed 238 yards and an interception. Austin Ekeler led the rush with 14 carries for 36 yards and a score.

The Seahawks are 5-1 ATS in their last six in October and 9-3-1 ATS in their last 13 in Week 7. Seattle is 5-11 ATS in their last 16 after an ATS win.

Meanwhile, the Chargers are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five in Week 7 and 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 in October. The over is 9-2 in LA’s last 11 overall.

PICK: I might take a stab on Seattle. Probably staying away, though. The Seahawks were nothing if not offensively balanced in their latest win over the Cardinals, posting 160 pass yards and 136 rush yards along the way to 4.5 yards per play and 19 first downs. It wasn’t exactly the most inspiring offensive performance (Seattle had scored 23 or more in each of the previous three games) but it got the job done.

As for the Chargers, they had a sloppy game (19 total penalties) versus the Broncos Monday. Los Angeles did a solid job on defense and held the ball for 38:49 but still needed overtime to get the win. This might be another close one.
