The Washington Commanders and Green Bay Packers clash Sunday in week 7 NFL action from FedExField. Green Bay is sitting at 3-3 so far and coming off a loss to the Jets. As for Washington, they’re 2-4 overall following a win over the Bears last week. Check back all season long for free NFL picks at Sports Chat Place.

The Packers stumbled out of the gate this year with a 23-7 loss to the Vikings in the opener. Green Bay hit their stride after that with wins over the Bears 27-10, Buccaneers 14-12 and Patriots 27-24 (OT), then lost to the Giants 27-22.

In Sunday’s matchup versus the Jets, Green Bay had trouble getting anything going on offense. The Packers were outscored 24-7 in the second half in a 27-10 loss. QB Aaron Rodgers threw for 246 yards and a score, while AJ Dillon had 41 rush yards.

Over on the Washington side, they got off to a nice start this year with a 28-22 win over the Jaguars. The Commanders hit a losing streak versus the Lions 36-27, the Eagles 24-8, the Cowboys 25-10 and the Titans 21-17 in their next four games, however.

Last Thursday in their game versus the Bears, the Commanders were down 7-3 heading into the final quarter but ultimately took home a 12-7 win. QB Carson Wentz threw for 99 yards, and Brian Robinson led the rush on 60 yards and a score from 17 carries.

The Packers are 7-1 ATS in their last eight in Week 7 and 13-4 ATS in the last 17 on grass. Green Bay is 11-5 ATS in their last 16 versus the NFC.

Meanwhile, the Commanders are 5-2 ATS in the last seven after an ATS win and 1-4 ATS in the last five overall. Washington is 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 on grass.

PICK: I’m going to stay with Green Bay. The Packers were on a pretty good roll for a while, but they’ve been flummoxed by the New York teams in the last two weeks. Against the Jets, Green Bay had just 278 total yards (as did the opposition) and suffered greatly from a few key special teams plays. The good news is that the Packers held the Jets to just 1-of-11 on third-down tries and will face another manageable offense here.

Speaking of offense, Washington posted just 214 yards, 14 first downs and a 2-of-11 rate on third downs in their matchup versus the Bears, but did just enough to get the win. Toppling an angry Green Bay team will be a taller order, even at home.
