The Nashville Predators look to push above the .500 mark when they take to the road to face the Canadiens who are off to a fast start.
The Predators are a cusp team this year as they’ll likely make a push towards one of the final playoff spots in the Western Conference but it might be another year or two before they’re seriously competitive once again and I think they will struggle against good teams this season. Nashville was on the brink of becoming a Western powerhouse but the loss of Ryan Suter on the back end has proved to be much more than anyone had imagined and I don’t think the Preds have fully recovered yet. They will go for their fourth win of the season when they head to the Bell Centre to take on the Canadiens who are coming off a nice win at home against the Blue Jackets.

Montreal had a very successful road trip in Western Canada and followed that up with a win over the Jackets at home in their last outing setting up what should be a hard fought game against the Preds. Montreal is without Max Pacioretty for a month due to injury but they do have a collection of forwards who can put the puck in the net and one of the best offensive defensemen in the game in PK Subban whose rocket from the blue line is always something to watch out for. I expected the Habs to come out flat against the Jackets and they proved me wrong and there is no reason not to believe they will enjoy the same success here against a Preds team who cannot score the puck. The price is high on the Canadiens but they’re the only play in this one.
