The Predators and Kings meet up at the Staples Centre as the Preds look to avenge an overtime loss while the Kings look for their 10th win of the season.
Nashville is a team in transition this season after a couple of years near the top and on the brink of making the Cup finals but after some roster changes over the past couple years they seem to have taken a step back. The biggest loss without question was Ryan SUter who left for Minnesota via free agency but they’re also without Martin Erat, Anders Lindback, Andrei Kostitsyn, and Alex Radulov who all had success with the team and now call other places home. The Preds are doing better than some expected though and with a big road win against the Kings they could jump within a point of the Wild for third in the division. Carter Hutton gets the call in the Predators’ crease as he goes head to head with Jonathan Quick.

The Kings head into Saturday night’s affair well rested and will aiming for double digits in wins against he Predators but they’ll have to fight through a tough defensive unit to get there. Shea Weber leads the Nashville blue line while rookie Seth Jones is playing well beyond his years at the moment while Sutton has been impressive in relief of Pekka Rinne. Los Angeles though is a very tough team to play against as they’re very deep all over the ice and can score with the best of them on any given night. Los Angeles has a huge advantage in the crease and I feel like that will be the main difference as I see the Kings just wallpapering Nashville in a terrible spot for them.
