The Kings look for another convincing victory as they head to Ottawa to wrap up their Eastern Canada road swing against the Senators.
If the Kings wanted to use their current road trip as a statement to the rest of the league that they’re once again a league powerhouse than they certainly haven’t disappointed as they are coming off big wins over the Canadiens and Maple Leafs in back to back nights and now head to Ottawa to take on the Sens. Los Angeles is a very physical team and even in games where they don’t play their best they seem to be very competitive and are never out of it which is what we saw in Toronto earlier this week. Los Angeles didn’t have their best game yet they skated away as 3-1 victors and can now register their sixth straight victory in Ottawa this afternoon. Martin Jones has taken the starter’s role away from Ben Scrivens but it appears as though the latter will get the call here as he goes up against Craig Anderson.

The Senators have had a disappointing start to the season as they just can’t seem to get anything going at either end of the rink and after two seasons where they made the playoffs with little expectation it looks like they might miss them with high ones. Ottawa sits in 6th place in the Atlantic division and are a game under .500 whereas the Kings are 21-7-4 and don’t seem to be slowing down any time soon which accounts for the lopsided line in favour of the visitors but with the way Ottawa has played at home there is no reason to consider anything else. There should be a good crowd in Ottawa for this one as it is an afternoon game but I don’t think it matters as the Kings are simply the better team and with a day’s rest between their game against the Leafs and this one I think L.A will be ready and they get the win.
