The San Jose Sharks will wrap up their three-game road trip with a visit to New Jersey to play the Devils. It’s the second and final meeting between the two teams, as the Sharks won the previous matchup 2-1 back in November.
The Sharks are coming off of a 4-2 road loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Friday. They’ve won four of their last six games and are doing so with incredible goaltending. Goalie Antti Niemi has allowed two or fewer goals in seven of his last 11 games, while goalie Alex Stalock has allowed two or fewer goals in nine of his last 11 games. Offensively, the Sharks have scored 12 goals in their last three games. They are 16-13-1-2 on the road this season.

The Devils will play back-to-back games, as they won 6-1 on the road against the New York Islanders on Saturday. Goalie Martin Brodeur made his first start since January and saved 18 of 19 shots. They’ve now won three of their last four games and have scored a combined 11 goals in their last two contests. They are 14-7-3-4 on their home ice this season.
This is as close to a toss-up as you’re going to get with the way the Devils have been playing lately. And I like them to continue their little hot streak and get another victory. The Devils have held opponents to two or fewer goals in five of their last seven games and are now getting the job done offensively.
Meanwhile, the Sharks have lost three of their last four road games and have scored two or fewer goals in their last seven losses.
The home team is also 7-2 in the last nine meetings between these two teams.
Give me the Devils at plus money, please.
