The Edmonton Oilers will be looking to add to their 7-3 win over Calgary last time out. Connor McDavid leads the Oilers in scoring with 56 points including team-highs of 18 goals and 38 assists while Leon Draisaitl has 17 goals and 32 assists this season. Winnipeg is 8-3 in their last 11 games as an underdog and 9-4 in their last 13 games overall while the over is 8-0 in their last 8 games overall. Edmonton is 4-0 in their last 4 home games and 5-2 in their last 7 games overall while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games overall. The over is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings between these two teams.
I think a case could be made for either side as Winnipeg’s just been so underappreciated this season while any team that has Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl on it is going to have a chance to win on a nightly basis. Instead, I’m going to side with the over here. There’s still a ton of offensive talent on both sides and while the goaltending has had it’s moments, I think we see the ugly side here and I could easily see 8 or 9 goals happening in this one.
