The Vegas Golden Knights and the St. Louis Blues meet in NHL action from the Enterprise Center on Friday night.

The Vegas Golden Knights will look to bounce back from their 4-3 loss to the Minnesota Wild in their last matchup. Mark Stone leads the Golden Knights in scoring with 28 points on 6 goals and a team-high 22 assists while Max Pacioretty has 21 points with 12 goals and 9 assists with a team-high 103 shots on goal and Alex Tuch has 19 points with 12 goals of his own. William Karlsson has 17 points with 6 goals and 11 assists and Jonathan Marchessault has 16 points with 7 goals and 9 assists. Shea Theodore and Chandler Stephenson each have 15 points with Theodore logging 12 assists while Stephenson has 7 goals and 8 apples. Alec Martinez also has 11 points with 10 assists for Vegas this season. Marc-Andre Fleury’s made the majority of the starts in goal for Vegas, putting up a 12-5 record with 4 shutouts and a 1.73 GAA this season.

The St. Louis Blues will look to bounce back from a 3-2 loss to the Sharks last time out. David Perron leads the Blues in scoring with 28 points including 10 goals and 18 assists while Ryan O’Reilly has 26 points with 18 assists as well. Brayden Schenn has 23 points with a team-high 12 goals with 11 assists while Jordan Kyrou’s on 20 points with 8 goals and 12 assists and Mike Hoffman has 18 points with 7 goals and 11 assists. Torey Krug has 15 points with 14 assists while Jordan Faulk has 11 points with 5 goals and 6 assists and Zach Sanford has 10 points with 7 goals this season. Jordan Binnington’s made the bulk of the starts in goal for St. Louis, with 9 wins and a 2.69 GAA in 19 appearances this season.

Vegas is 5-1 in their last 6 games as a favorite and 39-17 in their last 36 games overall while the under is 7-2 in their last 9 road games. St. Louis is 1-6 in their last 7 home games and 4-1 in their last 5 games against a team with a winning percentage above .600 while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games as an underdog. Vegas is 1-4 in the last 5 meetings between these two teams in St. Louis.

I get why the Golden Knights would be favored here. However, we’re getting the St. Louis Blues in an underdog price at home, and even in a down year in terms of their form at home, that’s still not something that you’re going to get very often. Based on value alone I’ll side with the Blues in this one.
