Flyers vs Oilers Prediction
I’m backing the Oilers in this one. I get the case to be made for the home dog in the Flyers, as anything can happen in these first games coming back out of the all-star break. However, I have to feel that Connor McDavid’s riding high after scoring the tournament winner in the Four Nations Face-Off, and that can sometimes spark a player to go on a run. I still have my concerns that the Oilers are a bit top-heavy from a talent perspective, but the Oilers here are the better team by a fair margin and I think that Philadelphia is just overmatched in this game. Give me the Oilers here.
