Winnipeg Jets Betting Preview

The Winnipeg Jets are 0-1-0 this year after they lost to Dallas by a score of 5-4 in their first game. Winnipeg tied the game at one in the first period, but they allowed the next four goals, before scoring three in the third and coming up just short in the comeback attempt. The Jets were out shot by a total of 37-25, won 47.5% of the face-offs, and went 0-4 on the power play in the game. Winnipeg also recorded 33 hits and eight blocked shots in the loss. The Jets got goals from Barron and Connor (3), while Koepke led the team with six hits in the contest. The Jets were 56-22-4 last season and they finished with 116 points, which was first in the Central Division, first in the Western Conference, and first in the NHL. Winnipeg was the best team in the regular season, but had plenty of issues in the postseason, especially with their goaltending. Winnipeg started last year by winning 15 of their first 16 games, including a 6-0 win over Edmonton in their opener. The Jets also finished the year strong by winning eight of their last eleven regular season games. Winnipeg narrowly got by St. Louis in seven games, but lost to Dallas in six games to end the campaign. Last year, the Jets scored 275 goals, which was ranked 3rd in the NHL, while they allowed 190 goals against, which was ranked 1st.

LA got goals from Byfield, Kuzmenko, Malott, Moore, and Clarke, while Laferriere led the team with eight hits in the game. Jets vs Kings Prediction

Winnipeg played pretty poorly for most of their game against the Stars, but they showed some life in the final ten minutes and nearly came back. Los Angeles really struggled in their first game against the Avs, but they bounced back with a nice win over Vegas. These two teams are pretty evenly matched, but I expect Winnipeg to get back to a defensive style that made them so successful last season. Take the Jets here.
