The Toronto Maple Leafs and the New Jersey Devils meet in NHL action from the Prudential Center on Tuesday night.

The Toronto Maple Leafs will look to add to their four-game winning streak and sweep the Devils after a 6-4 win in the first meeting on Monday night. Auston Matthews leads the Buds in scoring with 49 points including a team-high 28 goals while John Tavares also has 40 points with 17 goals and 22 assists. William Nylander’s also got 40 points with 17 goals and 23 assists. Morgan Rielly has a team-high 32 assists on the year. Jack Campbell’s made the bulk of the starts in goal for Toronto, going 20-6-3 with a 2.26 GAA and a .926 save percentage this season.

The New Jersey Devils will look for revenge in this game after Monday’s loss made it five straight for the Devils. Jesper Bratt leads the Devils in scoring with 40 points including team-highs of 14 goals and 26 assists while Andreas Johnsson has 25 points with 11 goals and 14 assists. Dougie Hamilton also has 20 points with 7 goals and 13 assists and Nico Hischier has 24 points with 8 goals and 16 assists this season. Jack Hughes also has 26 points with 11 goals and 16 assists this season. The aforementioned Johnsson also has a team-high +2 plus/minus rating as well this season.

Toronto is 12-2 in their last 14 games as a road favorite and 4-0 in their last 4 games against a team with a losing record while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 games following a win. New Jersey is 1-5 in their last 6 games against the Eastern Conference and 0-5 in their last 5 games played on no rest while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games against the Atlantic division.

I get the case to be made for the Devils as a home dog here, but I honestly think the narrative that it’s hard to beat the same team in back-to-back games or a home and home spot is nonsense as we teams get swept in the playoffs all the time. Toronto has all of the momentum after a huge third period on Tuesday that got the win on the puck line and I think this is a spot where Toronto gets another win on the -1.5 puck line over the Devils in back-to-back games.
