The Vegas Golden Knights and the Pittsburgh Penguins meet in NHL action from the PPG Paints Arena on Thursday night.

The Vegas Golden Knights will try to build on their 3-2 shootout win over Columbus last time out. Jack Eichel leads the Golden Knights with 26 points including a team-high 11 goals and 15 assists while Chandler Stephenson has 19 points with 13 assists and Alex Pietrangelo has 21 points with a team-high 18 assists. Mark Stone and Jonathan Marchessault each have 18 points with Stone logging 9 goals and Marchessault logging 8 goals and 10 assists. Logan Thompson’s gone 12-4 with a 2.44 GAA and a .921 save percentage while Adin Hill is 5-2-1 with a 2.74 GAA and a .903 save percentage as well this season.

The Pittsburgh Penguins will look to rebound from a 3-2 OT loss to Carolina last time out. Sidney Crosby has a team-high 31 points with 12 goals and 19 assists while Evgeni Malkin has 20 points split between 8 goals and 12 assists. Jake Guentzel has also chipped in 21 points with 11 goals and 10 assists this season. Tristan Jarry has gone 8-3-3 with a 2.91 GAA and a .914 save percentage while Casey DeSmith is 3-5-1 with a 3.00 GAA and a .908 save percentage in goal for Pittsburgh this season.

Vegas is 10-1 in their last 11 games against the Eastern Conference and 8-1 in their last 9 road games while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 games overall. Pittsburgh is 4-0 in their last 4 games played on 1 days rest and 4-0 in their last 4 games against the Western Conference while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 games overall.

I get the reasoning for backing either side in this game, but I’m looking at the under in this one. The goaltending’s had its issues on both sides, but these are two teams that have found themselves in their fair share of low-scoring games as of late. All in all, this feels like a first to 3 wins kind of game. Give me the under here.
