Espanyol vs. Eibar 7/12/20 LaLiga Soccer Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Espanyol is welcoming Eibar to RCDE Stadium in round 36 in Spanish LaLiga.

Espanyol was bad on both ends this season with only 27 scored and 55 conceded goals. In their last LaLiga game against Barcelona on the road, Espanyol has had extremely low 26% of ball possession, 2 shots on goal, 5 corner kicks, and 73% of the correct passes. In order to still have a chance to get out of the relegation zone, Espanyol couldn’t lose this game, but unfortunately, they did, 1-0. De Tomas, Lopez, and Lei are the top goal scorer for Espanyol this season with 4 goals each, while Embarba added 4 assists. There are no injuries in Espanyol, but Pipa is still questionable for this game. The last time that Espanyol was relegated was over 20 years ago, and they got back to LaLiga fast, and who knows, maybe the history will repeat itself and Espanyol will have a fantastic season in LaLiga 2.

Eibar is outside the relegation zone, in 15th place with 36 points, but they are still in danger of getting into the relegation zone if they don’t win some points in the next three games. Same as the majority of the teams at the bottom of the table, Eibar isn’t great in the attacking end with only 34 scored goals, while they conceded 51 goals and their defense is one of the worst in LaLiga. In their last 8 games in LaLiga since the restart, Eibar has 2 wins, 2 draws, and 4 losses, and they haven’t won any of their last 3 games in LaLiga. During this stretch, Eibar hasn’t scored a single goal while conceding 3 goals. Orellana has scored 8 goals and added 7 assists for Eibar this season, while Charles added 6 goals. Ramis is still injured, while Arbilla is questionable. Since the season is over for Espanyol, I don’t expect them to be motivated in their last three games, which Eibar could use in their favor, and for that reason only, I will give this a shot and side with Eibar on the road.
