Napoli and Juventus are clashing at Stadio Olimpico in the finale of the Italian Coppa Italia.

Napoli was in a good form before the season was suspended, and they have continued that good form in their Coppa Italia match against Inter last weekend. Napoli was forced to defend throughout the game and has had only 32% of ball possession, 2 shots on goal, 7 corner kicks, and 80% of the correct passes. Napoli conceded an early goal, in 2nd minute, but before the first half was over, Napoli was able to tie the game. Napoli has beaten Inter in the first leg of the semifinals, and since this match ended in a 1-1 draw, Napoli has advanced to the finals. Insigne is Napoli’s top goalscorer with 3 goals in Coppa Italia and he is expected to lead his teammates into the battle for the Coppa Italia trophy. Lobotka is the only injured player for Napoli and coach Gattuso will not have him at his disposal. Napoli was a good team under Ancelotti at the beginning of the season, but since Gattuso took over, Napoli has become tougher, and harder to beat, but more importantly, they are still playing good soccer. In Serie A, Napoli is not doing so well as they are in 6th place in the standings, 9 points away from the Champions League, but there are still a lot of games left in Serie A for Napoli to turn the situation around.

Juventus is showing us once again this season that they are the best team in Italy, but Lazio and Inter are coming dangerously close to them. In the Serie A standings, Juventus is at the top with 63 points, but Lazio is only 1 point behind, and they were playing fantastic soccer before the season was paused. Last week, Juventus was hosting Milan in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semifinals. With 53% of ball possession, 7 shots on goal, 13 corner kicks, and high 93% of the correct passes, Juventus was the better team, but only because Milan conceded a red card in 16th minute of the game I might add. Even with one extra player on the field, and with total dominance, Juventus wasn’t able to score a goal and this match ended in a 0-0 draw. The first leg ended in a 1-1 draw and Juventus advanced to the finals because of the away goal in the first leg. Ronaldo and Dybala have each scored 2 goals for Juventus in the Coppa Italia. Demiral, Ramsey, Higuain, and Chiellini are all still injured and will not be in the lineup. Juventus is a good team, but they have been struggling with scoring goals this season, and I’m afraid that might cost the title in Serie A because Lazio is the goal-scoring machine this season.

I think this could be a rough match because the Coppa Italia title is on the line. Neither Napoli nor Juventus is yet in a good competitive rhythm, and for that reason, I think this will be a tough match that could end in a draw.
