West Ham United vs. Leicester City 8/23/21 Premier League Soccer Pick, Odds, and Predictions

West Ham United and Leicester City face off on Monday in an English Premier League showdown at London Stadium. These two teams faced back in April and it was West Ham that was able to come away with the 3-2 victory. 

The expectations are high surrounding this Leicester City team and they got their season off to the right start against the Wolves. The offense wasn’t elite in the first game, but Jamie Vardy did score a goal in the 41st minute and that was enough to come away with the victory. Leicester City had nine shots and five of those shots went on goal. Leicester City has had 57 percent of the possession, and in this game, they need the offense to be good again. In this game, if Vardy can get a goal early, that would go a long way in Leicester City coming away with another big victory in this game. 

On the other side of this matchup is West Ham United who opened up their season against Newcastle, and it was West Ham United that were able to win 4-2. West Ham United actually fell behind in that game in the 5th minute, but they were able to come back quickly. Aaron Creswell opened up West Ham’s scoring in the 18th minute. Said Benrahma, Tomas Souck, and Mitchell Antonio also added goals and paced West Ham United to the victory. The offense of course will need to be good, but the defense is going to need to be better than it was in the last game, or West Ham United could be in trouble. 

I think both offenses are going to find success in this game, and that is going to lead to this game being a shootout. Look for plenty of goals and this game is going to go over the total.
