Belgium is welcoming Czech Republic to Stade Roi Baudouin in round 5 of Group E of the World Cup Qualifications. Belgium was a bit sloppy on the defensive end against Estonia a few days ago, but they did get a win, and that is all that matters. Czech Republic has also had an excellent Euro Cup, and they have started these qualifications with a win.

Belgium is one of the best offensive teams in the world, if not the best, and they have scored impressive 17 goals in 4 games so far while conceding 4 goals. With 10 points, Belgium is in 1st place in this group. Lukaku is back to his old self for Belgium, and he has scored 4 goals in these qualifications so far. Vanaken has added 3 goals, while Trossard added 2 goals. In their game against Estonia, Belgium was a much better team with 73% of ball possession, 9 shots on goal, 9 corner kicks, 4 big chances created, and a high 91% of the correct passes. Belgium has conceded a goal first, in the 2nd minute, but they have turned this game completely around by halftime. Belgium has scored 3 more goals in the second half, but they have also conceded 1 goal. The final score of this match was 2-3. I don’t think Belgium will have any problems qualifying for the World Cup, but they need to get their defense in order before that.

As I’ve mentioned, Czech Republic was excellent at the Euros, they have beaten Netherlands in the first round of the knockouts, but they lost to Denmark in the quarterfinals. The best player for Czech Republic is their striker, Patrik Schick, but he has scored only 1 goal so far in these qualifications. Soucek is the leading goalscorer for Czech Republic with 3 goals, while Barak added 2 goals. Czech Republic was hosting Belarus a few days ago, and they were a much better team in that match with 66% of ball possession, 6 shots on goal, 12 corner kicks, 2 big chances created, and 80% of the correct passes. Czech Republic has scored in the 34th minute, and it’s not like they needed the defense after that, but they were still calm and focused until the end of the game. Czech Republic has won this game 1-0. The Czechs are in 2nd place with 7 points, they have scored a solid 8 goals while conceding 4 goals, and I think we will be seeing them at the World Cup.

If any game is going to be to watch, it will be this one. Both teams are playing well, with little regard to the defense, and I see goals in this one. I’m taking goals.
