Argentina vs. Bolivia 9/9/21 CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifications Soccer Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Argentina and Bolivia face off on Thursday in a CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying game at Estadio Monumental Antonio Vespucio Liberti. These two teams last faced off in June and Argentina came away with the 4-1 victory. 

Argentina currently sits in 2nd place in the standings having picked up 15 points. Argentina is one of the best teams in the world, but they are coming off an odd game. Argentina’s last game against Brazil was suspended because of COVID issues and it’s unclear when that game is going to be made up. Two games ago against Venezuela, Argentina was impressive, scoring three goals. Argentina opened up the scoring in stoppage time of the first half with a goal by Lautaro Martinez. Joaquin Correa and Angel Correa also added goals after the 70th minute to come away with the victory. Argentina had 73 percent of the possession and 10 shots on target. 

On the other side of this matchup is Bolivia who sit in 9th place in the standings having picked up six points. Bolivia’s last game came on June 3rd which was eight games ago. Bolivia’s last game came against Uruguay and the defense really struggled giving up four goals. Bolivia’s two goals were scored by Marcelo Martins Moreno. Bolivia allowed ten shots on goal and if they want any chance to come away with a victory,  Even though Bolivia’s offense is okay, they aren’t going to win a 4-3 type of game. 

Argentina is the much better team, and they are going to have no issue winning this game. Argentina is going to get out to a fast start, and Bolivia’s offense isn’t going to keep this game close. .Back Argentina -2.5.
