Chelsea vs. Aston Villa 9/11/21 Premier League Soccer Pick, Odds, and Predictions

Chelsea and Aston Villa face off on Saturday in an English Premier League soccer showdown at Stamford Bridge. These two teams faced off in May of 2021 and Aston Villa came away with the 2-1 victory. 

Chelsea has played pretty well to start the season and they currently sit in 4th place in the standings having picked up seven points. Chelsea has played a tough start to their season, but they have still found success. After winning the first two games against Crystal Palace and Arsenal, Chelsea played to a 1-1 draw against Liverpool. One problem in that last game for Chelsea was that Reece James picked up a red card in the first half and he will miss this game. In this game for Chelsea, it’s all going to be all about the offense running up the score. 

On the other side of this matchup is Aston Villa who sit in 11th place in the standings having picked up four points. Aston Villa opened up their season with a loss against Watford, but since that point they have a win and a draw. In the last game against Brentford, they gave up a goal in the 7th minute and that was really the only mistake. Emi Buendia had a goal in the 13th minute to get the draw. Aston Villa had five shots on goal but only 46 percent of the possession. In this game, if Aston Villa wants to come away with the victory, they are going to need to have more possession in this game. 

Chelsea is the better team and I expect their offense is going to find success. Chelsea is going to score three or four goals against an Aston Villa defense that I don’t trust. Back Chelsea to win -1.5.
