RB Leipzig is hosting Bayern Munich at Red Bull Arena in a derby match of round 4 of the German Bundesliga. Leipzig is inconsistent so far this season, but their defense is looking well, while their offense is still not producing a lot. Bayern is on a 4-game winning streak during which they scored a massive 23 goals.
It’s only 4th round of the season, and Leipzig already has 2 losses, and they are now in 10th place with only 3 points. Leipzig has scored 4 goals so far this season, and even though they conceded only 2 goals, they lost 2 games because of those 2 goals. Leipzig was playing against Wolfsburg in their last game, and they have had 53% of ball possession, 2 shots on goal, 7 corner kicks, 2 big chances created, and 77% of the correct passes. Leipzig has created a few good chances in this match, but they couldn’t get past Wolfsburg’s defense, and they ended up losing this match 1-0. Szoboszlai has finally recovered from injury, and he is the leading goalscorer for Leipzig with 2 goals so far this season. Halstenberg, Saracchi, Novoa, and Reabiger are all injured. Leipzig has lost Sabitzer a couple of weeks ago when he left for Bayern Munich, and he is a player Leipzig will definitely miss.
As I’ve mentioned, Bayern has been in fantastic form in the attacking end so far this season, but the good news is their defense is finally improving, and Bayern has kept a clean sheet in their last 2 games. Bayern is in 3rd place with 7 points at the moment, but they have been one of the best offensive teams so far this season with 9 scored goals, and I think they will take over the top soon enough. In their last game, Bayern was playing against Hertha at home, and honestly, Hertha didn’t stand a chance. Bayern has had 63% of ball possession, 6 shots on goal, 8 corner kicks, 5 big chances created, and 88% of the correct passes. It didn’t take long for Bayern to score a goal, only 6 minutes, and with 1 more scored goal in the first half, and 3 more scored goals in the second half, Bayern has won this game 5-0. Lewandowski has scored a hat-trick in this game, and he already has 5 goals to his name this season. Gnabry has added 2 goals. Coman and Tolisso are the only injured players for Bayern at this time. There is no question Bayern is the best team in Germany, they are once again the biggest favorite to win the title, and I think they will.
Leipzig has beaten Bayern only once in the past, and I don’t think that will change here. Leipzig is inconsistent, they are not producing a lot in the attacking end, while Bayern is on fire. We are getting Bayern for plus money on the road, and I will take it.
