Leicester City and Napoli face off in the first game of Group C of the Europa League on Thursday at King Power Stadium.

Leicester CIty hasn’t gotten off to the best start this season and they currently sit in 9th place in the English Premier League having picked up six points. In the last game against Manchester City, Leicester City didn’t look terrible, but they gave up one goal in the 62nd minute, and that led to the loss. It was good for Leicester City that the defense looked better in the last game, and in this game, it’s going to need to have a strong defensive output. Jamie Vardy is still the star of this team and he has put two goals in the back of the net. 

On the other side of this matchup is Napoli who currently sit in 3rd place in the Serie A standings having picked up nine points. In Napoli’s last game against Juventas, they fell behind early, but they scored goals in the 57th and 85th minute, to come away with the victory. Two games ago, the defense was a big issue giving up five goals to Benevento and that led to the loss. Napoli’s defense has a bit inconsistent this season, and in this game, the defense is going to need to be a lot better. If the defense struggles, this is a game they will probably lose. 

I expect this is going to be an up and down game with plenty of scoring by both teams. Leicester City’s defense is going to be a big issue, and this game is going to be a shootout. Back the over to cash.
