Norwich City vs. Brighton 10/16/21 Premier League Soccer Pick, Odds, and Predictions

Norwich City and Brighton face off on Saturday in an English Premier League showdown at Carrow Road. In July of 2020, it was Brighton that was able to beat Norwich City 1-0. 

Norwich City is having a terrible season and they have only picked up one point total, which puts them in last place in the standings. That draw came in their last game against Burnley. The defense gave up zero goals in the game, but the offense was still a very big concern. In each of the last three games, overall Norwich City has failed to score a goal. Norwich City has scored two goals total while the defense has given up 16 goals. Teemu Pukki has been the only goal scorer for the team this season. If Norwich City wants to come away with the victory, the offense is going to need to get more scoring chances. If they are only creating two or three scoring chances a game, that isn’t enough. 

On the other side of this matchup is Brighton who have picked up 14 points this year and that puts them in sixth place in the standings. They are playing some really good soccer this season, and each of the last four games they have picked up at least one point. In the last game against Arsenal, the defense was strong allowing only two shots on goal, and neither of those went in the back of the net. Brighton has scored eight goals total while the defense has given up only five goals. Neal Maupay has been the best player for Brighton scoring four goals. 

Brighton is the better team, and even though they have played to a few draws lately, they are going to get the job done in this game. Look for Norwich City to be shut out again in this game, and Brighton will get the job done. Back Brighton to win this game on the money line.
