Liverpool vs. FC Porto 11/24/21 UEFA Champions League Soccer Picks, Best Bets and Odds

Liverpool is welcoming Porto to Anfield in round 5 of Group B of the UEFA Champions League. Liverpool is safe, they are at the top of the table with a maximum of 12 points, and they will be advancing to the next stage. Porto is in second place right now, but that could quickly change in the last two games if they don’t get positive results.

Liverpool was absolutely brilliant so far in the Champions League, and they have 12 points, 13 scored goals, and only 5 conceded goals. In the EPL, Liverpool is also doing a great job, and they are the best offensive team in the league with 35 scored goals. In their last game against Arsenal this past weekend, Liverpool was the dominant team with 63% of ball possession, 9 shots on goal, 6 corner kicks, 5 big chances created, and 88% of the correct passes. I gotta say, I did not expect this kind of dominance from Liverpool, but they deservedly won this game 4-0. So far in the Champions League, Salah is the leading goalscorer for Liverpool with 5 goals, and even though Liverpool has nothing to play for, Salah will most likely be in the starting lineup. Honestly, I think Liverpool is the best team in Europe alongside Chelsea, they are a force to be reckoned with in the attacking end, their defense has been pretty solid, and they are incredibly consistent.

Porto has lost only 1 of their last 9 games, and they do need a win in this game, but the only way they are gonna get it is by playing their best soccer of the season, and it still might not be enough. With only 3 scored goals, Porto is the weakest offensive team in this group, and Diaz is their leading goalscorer with 2 goals. Despite their offensive inefficiency, Porto is in second place, but they could lose that spot if they lose to Liverpool. The Portuguese Primeira Liga was on a break this past weekend, but there was the Portuguese Cup being played, and Porto has beaten Feirense at home. With 29 points, 28 scored goals, and only 7 conceded goals, Porto is at the top of the Primeira Liga, and overall, I think they are the best team in Portugal, but let’s be honest, the competition is not that strong. As I’ve mentioned, Porto will need to play their best game yet, but I’m still not sure they have what it takes to beat Liverpool on the road.

Porto has never beaten Liverpool on the road, and I don’t think they will start now. Yes, Liverpool will probably rest a few players since they are safe, but they certainly don’t want to lose this game, and they won’t.
