Milan is welcoming Liverpool to San Siro in round 6 of Group B of the UEFA Champions League. Milan is playing well right now, at least in the attacking end, and they are on a 2-game winning streak. Liverpool is tearing everyone apart right now, they are scoring a ton of goals, and they are on a 5-game winning streak.

Milan has taken over the top of Serie A this past weekend, and they have 38 points, 35 scored goals, and 18 conceded goals. As far as the Champions League goes, Milan is now in 3rd place, and only the win in this game will get them to the next stage, and that is if Porto doesn’t win their game against Atletico Madrid. Milan has scored 5 goals in the Champions League so far. Milan was playing against Salernitana in their last Serie A game, and they were dominant with 70% of ball possession, 8 shots on goal, 9 corner kicks, 5 big chances created, and a high 90% of the correct passes. With 2 scored goals in the first half, Milan has won this game 2-0. There are quite a few injuries in Milan right now, but some of those players might be available for this game. As I’ve mentioned, Milan needs the win, and they are good enough to get it, but they will need to score more than 1 goal, I think.

Liverpool has scored 15 goals in their last 5 games while conceding only 1, and they have looked terrifyingly good. In their last game in the EPL against Wolverhampton, Liverpool was dominant, they were creating chances, they just couldn’t score a goal. Just as we thought this game will end in a 0-0 draw, Liverpool has pulled a fast one on Wolverhampton, and they ended up winning this game 0-1. In the Champions League, Liverpool is perfect with 5 wins, 15 scored goals, and 5 conceded goals. Salah is having an outstanding season, and he is Liverpool’s leading goalscorer with 6 goals in the Champions League. Mane and Firmino added 2 goals each. I suspect Klopp will give a beak to some of his best players, Salah probably too, but this is the team that has plenty of depth and quality on the bench, and any one of those players can score a goal, which is why I think this will be a very fun game to watch.

Liverpool has beaten Milan in the reverse fixture of this matchup 3-2 at home, and in a sense of goals, I expect the same thing here, but I see Milan getting the win.
