Bologna is welcoming Milan to Renato Dall’Ara in round 9 of the Italian Serie A. Bologna has been hot and cold so far this season, but overall, they have done a great job so far. Milan I still undefeated in Serie A, they are in second place, but they are struggling in the Champions League.
As I said, Bologna has been solid overall so far this season, but their defense is really sloppy with 15 conceded goals. The good news for Bologna is they haven’t lost any of their last 2 games, and they have scored 4 goals during that streak. In their last game against Udinese on the road, and they were the better team with 59% of ball possession, 11 shots on goal, 8 corner kicks, 1 big chance created, and 88% of the correct passes. Bologna was leading 0-1, but their defense was sloppy once again, and the final score was 1-1. Bologna has conceded a lot of yellow cards in this game, but surprisingly enough, none of their players are suspended. Barrow is the leading goalscorer for Bologna with 3 goals and 3 assists, while Arnautovic added 3 goals as well. Bologna is a decent team, they have some good players, but I still don’t think they are good enough to compete for the Europa League.
Milan might be struggling in the Champions League, but they have been outstanding in the Serie A so far this season. in their Champions League game against Porto on the road earlier this week, Milan has had 47% of all possession, 1 shot on goal, 1 corner kick, and 77% of the correct passes. This wasn’t a good game for Milan, and honestly, they didn’t deserve the win. Milan has lost this game 1-0. In Serie A, Milan has scored a fantastic 18 goals, while their defense was also outstanding with 7 conceded goals. With 22 points, Milan is in 2nd place, and they will be in the title run until the very end. Milan has been hit with injuries and covid, ad they will be missing some great players like Hernandez, Rebic, and Florenzi, but they still have some young guns who need to prove themselves. Giroud, Diaz, and Leao have each scored 3 goals for Milan so far, while Hernandez added 3 assists. Yes, Milan would love to have done better in the Champions League, but I think they should shift their focus to Serie A, and I think eventually, they will.
We are getting a nice plus money for Milan on the money line, and I will take it. Yes, Milan has a ton of injuries, but they are still a good team, and Bologna’s defense is sloppy. I’m siding with the undefeated team in this game.
