Alaves is a weak team, weaker than last season, and I’m afraid they will get relegated unless something changes drastically.

Atletico is doing a decent job so far this season, they are undefeated, and they are in 2^nd place with 14 points. Atletico is capable of so much more in the attacking end, and I think that will come, but their defense is what has to be fixed right now. Atletico has conceded 5 goals in 6 games, and that is something most of the teams would be happy with, but not Atletico Madrid. Correa and Suarez are the leading goalscorers for Atletico with 3 goals each. Lemar is injured while Felix is suspended because of the red card. In their last game against Getafe on the road, Atletico was the better team with 69% of ball possession, 4 shots on goal, 5 corner kicks, 3 big chances created, and 81% of the correct passes. After losing since the 45^th minute, Atletico scored 2 late goals, and they have deservedly won this match 1-2. Atletico is facing Milan on the road in the Champions League next week, but they have gotten some injured players back, and that will certainly help them with the depth needed for that game.

Alaves is in such terrible form that I won’t even concern myself with previous games. Atletico is the better team here, and even though they will be playing in the Champions League next week, I see them getting a win here as well.
