Watford and Chelsea face off on Wednesday in an English Premier League showdown at Vicarage Road. When these two teams faced off in July of 2020 it was Chelsea that won 3-0.

On the other side of this matchup is Chelsea who currently sit in 1st place in the standings having picked up 30 points. Even though they sit in 1st place they can’t feel great with the way they looked in the last game. Chelsea had to rely on a penalty kick in the 69th minute to force a draw against Manchester United. Last Tuesday, Chelsea faced off against Juventus and they won that game 4-0. Chelsea has scored 31 goals total while their defense has given up five goals total. Reece James has been the top player scoring four goals and adding another four assists. This is a strong offensive team but more impressive has been the way the defense has played. 

Watford’s offense has been strong, but they are facing a strong defense and Chelsea is going to lock them down. I also don’t see Chelsea running up the score, and that will lead to this being a lower scoring game. Back the under.
