Borussia M’gladbach vs. RB Leipzig 5/2/22 Bundesliga Soccer Pick, Predictions, and Odds

Borussia M’gladbach is welcoming RB Leipzig to Borussia-Park in round 32 of the German Bundesliga. Borussia has woken up as of late, but too bad it’s too late for them to qualify for Europe. Leipzig has lost their last game in Bundesliga, they have dropped to 5^th place, but they have won their game in the Europa League semifinals.

Borussia is now in 13^th place with 38 points, they have scored 45 goals, while their defense has been terrible this season with 58 conceded goals. Borussia is now 9 points above the relegation zone, which should be enough for them to stay in the league. Hofmann has scored 8 goals for Borussia so far this season, while Plea has 7 goals and 6 assists. Borussia was outstanding last season, they were competitive, they had a solid defense, and their offense was pretty much unstoppable, but none of that is anywhere to be seen this season. Borussia was counting on the spot in the Europa League, or at least the Conference League which would bring some money into the club, but the way they have been playing this season, they don’t deserve a spot in Europe.

Leipzig was on an amazing run, they were scoring a ton of goals, but they have lost to Union Berlin in their last Bundesliga game. In their Europa League last week, Leipzig was playing against Rangers at home, and they had a great game, but they scored only 1 goal, and it was a late one. Leipzig deserved a win in that match, and they got it. The second half of this matchup will be tough, for both teams, but Leipzig is solid, they are in good form, and I think they will advance to the next stage. As far as Bundesliga goes, Leipzig is now in 5^th place with 54 points, which is the Europa League spot, but with a positive result here they will get back into the top 4. Because of their slow start to the season, Leipzig now has to fight for their spot, and they are under a lot of pressure, but they could also win the Europa League which would solve all of their problems. Nkunku has scored 17 goals and added 13 assists for Leipzig this season, and he has been outstanding. I’m pretty sure Leipzig will rest a few players here, as they should because they have a chance to win their first European title if they beat Rangers again.

The trends are on Leipzig’s side in this matchup, and they definitely need a win here, but the Europa League is important as well. Even if Leipzig losses in this game, they will remain where they are, but if they don’t rest players and go for the win here, that could have bad repercussions in the Europa League. I will give this one a shot with Borussia M’gladbach.
