Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are clashing at Signal Iduna Park in round 28 of the German Bundesliga. Borussia has been overperforming defensively if you ask me, but their offense is still pretty good and can score goals. Leipzig has been on fire lately, they are healthy, and they are fighting for the Champions League spot.

Borussia is undefeated in their last 6 games, and since they have been knocked out of everything end, Bundesliga is the only thing they need to focus on. In their last 6 games, Borussia has 3 wins and 3 draws, and they are in 2nd place with 57 points. With 67 scored goals, Borussia is the second-best offensive team in the league, while their defense is below average this season. of the 67 goals Borussia has scored, Haaland has scored 16, but it has been rumored he is injured. Reus has added 9 goals. As of right now, Haaland is not on the injury list, but plenty of other players are, and that has been the issue for Borussia for the whole season. overall, Borussia is a talented team, and they could win the title, but they see to choke when they shouldn’t, and it cost them a lot over the last few seasons.

Not only Leipzig has improved, but they are also undefeated since early February while losing only 1 game from January until now. It’s the end of the season almost, and Leipzig is playing in 3 competitions, in Bundesliga, the DFB Pokal, and the Europa League. In Bundesliga, Leipzig is in 4th place, in the Europa League, they will play against Atalanta, while in the DFB Pokal they will play against Union Berlin. I think Leipzig has a decent shot at advancing past Atalanta, I think they will go for it in the DFB Pokal, and they are certainly good enough to win. As far as Bundesliga goes, their schedule is not bad, but with the number of games they need to play, they will need to catch a hell of a form to stay in that 4th spot. Nkunku has 15 goals and 9 assists for Leipzig so far this season, while Silva has added 10 goals. The good news for Leipzig is that they are pretty much healthy, which will give them more depth. I love this Leipzig team, I think they can do even better than they are doing, and I hope to see them in the title battle next season.

The trends are on Borussia’s side, but this is the matchup where we will go with goals. I think this one could go either way, and both teams could use a win, but neither team is good enough to defend against the other.
