Manchester City is hosting Real Madrid at Etihad Stadium in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinals. Manchester City is now in good form, they are competing with Liverpool for the EPL title, but they want the Champions League. Real Madrid is also on a nice streak, they are scoring goals, and they will win LaLiga this season.

City is now on a 2-game winning streak, and in their latest game, they have just destroyed Watford. Thanks to that win, City has remained at the top of the table in the EPL. In the previous stage of the Champions League, City has advanced thanks to the first leg win, but it was tight, and they had to fight for their spot in the semifinals. Mahrez is still the leading goalscorer for City in the Champions League with 6 goals, while Jesus and Sterling have added 3 goals each. There are no injuries in City, but Concelo is suspended because of the yellow cards. City has been incredibly consistent this season, they have scored a lot of goals this season, and they are dominant pretty much against any team out there. Yes, City would like to win the EPL, but their ultimate goal is the Champions League, and I think they will do it.

Real Madrid has won 5 of their last 6 games, while their only loss was against Chelsea in the second leg of the quarterfinals, but they still advanced to the semifinals. In LaLiga, Real Madrid is now at the top, they have 15 points advantage over Barcelona, and they need just a point to secure that title. Real Madrid was really lucky against Chelsea because after destroying them on the road, Chelsea has done the same to Real Madrid in the second leg, but Real Madrid was more focused on the defensive end. Benzema is the leading goalscorer for Real Madrid with 12 goals, while Vinicius has added 6 assists. Jovic, Hazard, and Mariano are all injured, but they haven’t been playing much at all this season. Real Madrid will need a stellar defense in this game, and on top of that, Real Madrid will need to be efficient in the attacking end because I’m not sure how many chances they will get to score a goal.

There have been a lot of different results in this matchup, but City has never been so dominant as they are right now. I think this will be a great game, and Real Madrid might even score, but I see Manchester City getting a win. City is the home team here, and they need to get a positive result here.
