Manchester United and Newcastle United face off on Sunday in an English Premier League showdown at Old Trafford. When these two teams faced off on December 27th the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

Manchester United comes into this game sitting in 5th place in the standings having picked up 15 points. Last season, Manchester United faced off against Everton, and they were able to secure a 2-1 victory. Antony scored in the 15th minute and Cristiano Ronaldo scored in the 44th minute. Manchester United had 61 percent of the possession and four shots on target. McTominay is dealing with a suspension because of yellow cards, and he’s not going to be able to go in this game. Donny van de Beek, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Brandon Williams, Axel Tuanzebe, and Harry Maguire are all dealing with injuries, and they won’t be able to go in this game.

On the other side of this matchup is Newcastle United, who sits in 6th place in the standings having picked up 14 points. Last Saturday, Newcastle faced off against Brentford, and they were able to secure the 5-1 victory. Bruno Guimaraes scored in the 21st and 56th minute and that was enough to secure the victory. Newcastle had 55 percent of the possession and six shots on target. Karl Darlow, Alexander Isak, Jonjo Shelvey, Matt Ritchie, and Emil Krafth are all dealing with injuries for Newcastle and won’t be able to go in this game.

Newcastle has been quite impressive so far during the Premier League season and even on the road at Old Trafford, they are going to find success in this game. Newcastle has found success with scoring and in the last game, they scored five goals. I don’t think they repeat the five-goal performance, but they are going to score a couple of goals, which will be enough. Back Newcastle on the money line.
