As I’ve mentioned, Milan can take over the top of the table with a win, but at the moment they are in 2^nd place with 48 points, which is 2 points less than Inter. Milan is also catching up to Inter when it comes to goalscoring, and they now have 46 scored goals. Defensively, Milan is solid, and when we consider they don’t have a few defenders because of the injuries, that is great. Ibrahimovic was rested in that game against Genoa, but he will be in the starting lineup here because he is their leading goalscorer with 8 goals. There are still a lot of injuries in Milan, but they did get some players back, and they will have a bit more depth in this match.

As I’ve mentioned, Spezia has had some good results over the last few weeks, and they have lost only 1 of their last 4 games in Serie A. thanks to that, Spezia has gained some distance from the relegation zone, and they are now in 16^th place with 19 points. Offensively, this team is barely producing anything, and they have now scored only 21 goals, but their defense is letting pretty much anything go through. Spezia has conceded 41 goals. When it comes to injuries, Spezia is in great shape with only 1 injured player, and that was one of the reasons for their good performance lately. Verde, Bastoni, and Gyasi are the leading goalscorers for Spezia with 3 goals each. Verde has also added 3 assists. Even though Spezia is now outside the relegation zone, they are still only 2 points away from getting back into it, and that could happen fast. I think Spezia got lucky last season, but I’m not sure they will have such luck this season.

Milan and Spezia haven’t played a lot of games against each other, but Milan has always beaten them at home. Even with all the injuries, Milan still has a strong starting lineup, a very strong one, and I think Spezia will not be a match for them in this game. Milan is the way to go here.
