Saudi Arabia and Mexico face off on Wednesday in a World Cup Group C soccer showdown at Lusail Stadium.

Saudi Arabia currently sits in 3rd place in the group, having picked up three points. In the first World Cup against Argentina, they came up with quite the upset, winning 2-1. In the last game against Poland, Saudi Arabia failed to score, and they ended up losing 2-0. Saudi Arabia had 54 percent of the possession and five shots on goal. Abdulelah Al-Malki picked up his second yellow card in the last game, and he will be suspended for this game. Riyad Sharahili could move into the starting lineup in this game to give a boost to the defense.

On the other side of this matchup is Mexico, who sits in 4th place in the group having picked up one point. This has been a very disappointing World Cup for Mexico, but they aren’t eliminated from contention just yet. Mexico opened up the World Cup with a 0-0 draw against Poland. In the last game against Argentina the defense really struggled, giving up two goals and that led to the defeat. Andres Guardado had to leave the last game with an injury, and it’s not expected that he’s going to be able to go here. Mexico also might move to a four-man defense here as they need goals.

I expect Mexico is going to get the offense going here, but with the numbers being pushed forward, they are also going to struggle with their defense here. It wouldn’t shock me if both teams finished with two goals, and this game is going to be high scoring. Back the over to cash here.
