Sevilla and Real Betis are clashing at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in round 26 of the Spanish LaLiga. Sevilla is the best defensive team in the league, but they have only 2 wins in their last 8 games. Betis has been on fire lately, they are scoring a lot of goals, but they failed to beat Zenit in the Europa League earlier this week.

Sevilla is still behind Real Madrid in LaLiga, in 2nd place with 51 points, which is now 9 points less than Real Madrid has. As I’ve mentioned, Sevilla is the best defensive team in the league with 17 conceded goals, while their offense was great at the start of the season but has slowed down lately. Sevilla has scored 37 goals so far. Sevilla was also playing in the Europa League earlier this week, and they lost, but luckily for them, Sevilla has won the first leg 3-1 which was enough for them to advance. Sevilla will be playing against West Ham in the next stage. Rafa Mir is still the leading goalscorer for Sevilla with 8 goals. Sevilla now has a lot of injuries, and some of those players are very important for this team, but now it’s the time for their defense to step up.

As I’ve mentioned, Betis is in amazing form, they have lost only 1 of their last 12 games, while they have won 9 of their last 12 games. Surprisingly, Betis is now in 3rd place with 46 points, and with a win here, they will get even close to Sevilla. With 47 scored goals, Betis is the second-best offensive team in the league, and only Real Madrid is better than them this season. Defensively, Betis is not the worst, but their defense could use some improvement. Betis has defeated Zenit in the first leg of the Europa League playoffs, and that was enough to get them to the next stage because the second leg ended in a boring 0-0 draw. Juanmi is the leading goalscorer for Betis with 12 goals in LaLiga, but he is suspended because of the yellow cards. Canales and Fekir have added 5 assists each. Montoya, Camarasa, and Miranda are injured. Betis has a great team, they have a great coach, and I like seeing them this high in the standings.

This is the Sevilla derby, and these games are pretty much always very rough. Honestly, I would give a slight advantage to Betis on the road here, but I will pick something on cards here because I expect a lot of them.
