AFC Bournemouth vs. Tottenham Hotspur 10/29/22 EPL Soccer Picks, Predictions, Odds

AFC Bournemouth and Tottenham Hotspur face off on Saturday in an English Premier League showdown at Vitality Stadium. When these two teams faced off in 2020, the game ended in a 0– draw. 

AFC Bournemouth comes into this game sitting in 14th place in the standings having picked up 13 points. Bournemouth has lost two games in a row, and in those two games they have failed to score a goal. In the last game, they had 43 percent of the possession and three shots on target. The last win for AFC Bournemouth came against Leicester City on October 8th. Bournemouth are super banged up heading into this game, and they will be without Neto and Dominic Solanke, who both had to leave the last game early.  Solanke should be back sooner than later, but it probably won’t be in this game. 

On the other side of this matchup is Tottenham Hotspur, who sit in 3rd place in the standings having picked up 23 points. Last Sunday, Tottenham faced off against Newcastle, and they were defeated 2-1. At halftime, Tottenham was down 2-0. Harry Kane did score a goal in the 54th minute, but it wasn’t enough as they lost 2-1. Tottenham had 53 percent of the possession and five shots on target. On Wednesday, Tottenham played to a 1-1 draw against Sporting CP. Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski are both dealing with injuries, and they aren’t expected to be able to go in this game. Lucas Moura made his first start of the season, and he could start again here. 

After such a fast start to the season, Tottenham’s offense hasn’t been as strong as of late, and that is going to be an issue again here. I do expect their defense to be strong, and that is going to lead to this game being lower scoring. Look for a 1-0 or 1-1 type of game, and it will stay under 2.5 goals.
