Arsenal and Leicester City face off on Saturday in an English Premier League showdown at Emirates Stadium. Arsenal has won each of the last against Leicester City.
Arsenal finished last season with three straight wins, and the hope was that would carry over to this season. In the first game of the season against Crystal Palace, Arsenal looked pretty good, but they still showed there were some areas that needed improvement. Gabriel Martnelli opened up the scoring in the 20th minute There was also an added goal in the 85th minute that sealed the victory. Arsenal only had two shots on goal and 43 percent of the possession, and both of those can be improved upon here. With all the talent that Arsenal has up front, there is no reason this team shouldn’t be having six or seven shots on goal every night. Kieran Tierney came off the bench in the last game, but it looks like he should be good to go to start in this game.
On the other side of this matchup is Leicester City who had a ton of questions heading into the season and I am not sure a whole lot of those have been answered yet. In the first game of the season against Brentford, Leicester City looked dominant and they scored two goals in the first 46th minute. Timothy Castagne scored in the 33rd minute and Kierman Dewsbury-Hall added another goal in the 46th minute. It looked like they were going to have a dominant victory, but they gave up two goals after the 60th minute and that led to them only picking up a point. Last season, Leicester City picked up only four wins from home last season, and they are going to have their work cut out from them here.
A lot of times in soccer I enjoy finding the plus money, but Arsenal is at a too good a price in this game. Leicester City showed in the first game that their defense has some holes, and they have a much harder matchup going against Arsenal. Look for Arsenal to score at least two goals, and Leicester City is going to have no answer. Back Arsenal on the money line.
