Arsenal and Nottingham Forest face off on Sunday in an English Premier League showdown at Emirates Stadium. When these two teams faced off on January 9th it was Nottingham Forest that secured the 1-0 victory. 

Nottingham Forest comes into this game sitting in 20th place in the standings having picked up nine points. Nottingham Forest have had some issues this season but they are coming off quite the victory. The defense locked down not giving up any goals to Liverpool and that led to the 1-0 victory. Taiwo Awoniyi scored in the 55th minute, and that was the difference. Nottingham only had 24 percent of the possession, but they did have seven shots on goal. Omar Richards, Jack Colback, Harry Toffolo, and Moussa Niakhate are all hurt and won’t be able to go in this game. 

Arsenal currently sits in 1st place in the Premier League having picked up 28 points. Arsenal has had quite the season but they are struggling a bit coming into this game, In the last Premier League game against Southampton, they played to a 1-1 draw. Arsenal had 60 percent of the possession but could only manage three shots on goal. In a midweek game against PSV, Arsenal really struggled in the second half they were defeated 2-0. Gabriel Magalhaes did get banged up in the last game for PSV and it’s unclear if he’s going to be able to go in this game. Mohamed Elneny and Emile Smith Rowe are both hurt right now and they won’t be able to go in this game. 

Nottingham Forest won in the last game against Liverpool, but I think they get back to their losing ways here. Nottingham Forest isn’t a good offensive team and they are going to really struggle in this game to get any type of offense going.
