With 30 points, Aston Villa is now in 13^th place in the EPL, but I think their best is yet to come. Aston Villa is solid on both ends, they have scored 33 goals while conceding 37 goals, and they will stay far away from the relegation zone. Of course, Villa’s goal is the Europa League or the Conference League, but they might not get there this season. There are no easy games in the EPL, especially for a team as inconsistent as Aston Villa is, but I think they can expect some points in their next few games. Watkins is the leading goalscorer for Aston Villa with only 6 goals, and that is their biggest problem right now, the lack of goals from their strikers. Nakamba and Traore are the only two injured players. As I’ve said, I think the best is yet to come from Aston Villa, they are investing in their roster, and I think they will do great things next season.

Southampton has been in outstanding form, they have won 5 of their last 7 games, while the other 2 ended in a draw. in their last 3 games, Southampton has 3 wins, and they have beaten Everton, Norwich, and West Ham. With 35 points, 34 scored goals, and 37 conceded goals, Southampton is now in 9^th place. McCarthy and Lyanco are injured, while Tella is still questionable. Adams has scored 7 goals for Southampton, while Broja and Ward Prowse have added 6 goals each. Redmond has added 5 assists. Southampton is a good team, they have been struggling for a while, but they have found their way back. I think the spot they are in right now is the sweet spot for Southampton, and even though they could get higher, I think they would move back down quickly. Now that Southampton is in good form, no one can count on points against them, but this streak will end soon.

The trends are pretty even in this matchup, and even though Southampton is in better form, Aston Villa is dangerous at home. These are teams of similar quality, and they could cancel each other out, but I think it will go 3the other way. I see goals on both sides.
